Hi! I’m Di, and I’m a self-taught professional baker. I bake yeast breads because it’s kind of becoming a lost art. (Although it did get a boost thanks to the pandemic.) I also do it because it’s hard to find really good bread, and not everyone has the time to make it themselves. Most importantly, though, I bake bread because it’s magical. 

I mean, think about it. You take flour, water, salt, and yeast. Four ingredients. You mix them up into a gooey mess of dough. You wait. You shape the dough. You wait some more. You bake it. And you get bread. How awesome is that?! Even better, you can change up the ratio of the ingredients, maybe add some sugar or eggs or butter, and you can make all different kinds of bread!

A quick look in my shop will show you that there aren’t a lot of things on my menu. Everything here is something that I love to make and eat. Why? Because I want to enjoy the process, and I want each loaf or roll or cookie to be special. The baked goods I make are meant to be savored. To be the highlight of your meal. To be shared with others who will also appreciate them. I hope you love them as much as I do.
